Happy Birthday, Rich

On June 5, 2012, we went to Kat and Jason's for a birthday dinner for Rich. After eating, he opened his three gifts - all shirts.  Actually, Daniel opened the gifts for him. Daniel was really excited at first, but then his enthusiasm dwindled as he opened one shirt after another. By the third one, he was really disappointed that it wasn't the monster truck he was looking for.

Powerwashing the Deck and Pergolas

We are having some painting done and needed to powerwash the pergolas before the painter could finish. Jason offered to do the job for us, along with his assistant.

My mother's favorite flower was the pansy. I love to see them in summer. They always remind me of her... These are in flower baskets on our deck.

The Goldfinches returned to visit my birdfeeder.  They sat on the garden fence waiting their turn at the feeder. 




On Sunday afternoon, June 3, we had a double rainbow against a beautiful clear blue sky. Lovely reminder of all of God's promises to us.
