Daniel was fascinated by our little toy train. He was surprised every time it came around the track.

Daniel is 8 months old - what a cutie!

He and Rich had a great time playing.

Kat and Daniel spent a lazy Sunday afternoon...

Putting the finishing touches on the potato dumplings.
Daniel couldn't care less about the new clothes, but the tag was interesting.
Pop Pop and Grandma gave Daniel a toy he can sit and play with, or walk behind while he pushes it around the house.
He immediately found fun things to do with it!
Roxy enjoyed the day, too! (Except when Daniel was pulling on her ears.)
Carving the steak.
Luke Richard: Bearer of light; strong ruler.
Acts 13:47 – I have made you a light…that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.
Revelation 21:23, 24 – The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.
Our prayer for Luke is that he will bear the light of Christ to others and that he will bring his riches in this life to lay at the feet of Christ, using them for His glory.

Leah Katherine: Meadow, stream, pure one
Isaiah 44:3-5a – For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.
They will spring up like grass in a meadow, like poplar trees by flowing streams. One will say, 'I belong to the LORD.'
Philippians 2:15 - So that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe.
Our prayer for Leah is that she will bring a refreshing spirit to those who know her and that her purity will shine as a testimony of her faith in God to those around her.
When Rich set up his computer to catch up on e-mails from work, Luke ran to get his computer, too. They worked side by side for a long time. So precious!
The light displays were fantastic!
CA Santa standing by the side of the road - for pictures!
Lars and his princess.
Rich's job was to help get the toys out of the packaging -
Leah was fascinated by her princess cell phone.
Rich in the middle of it all!
Susan enjoying the activity around the tree.
Before we left, Rich taught the kids to drum on Laurel's old bowl set using Luke's new hammers from the tool bench Grandma and Grandpa Eriksen gave him. I guess Rich wanted Laurel to remember that we had been there...
Laurel made shirts with the children's pictures. Her's has Luke and Leah, and mine has all four grandchildren. What a special gift!
We hated to have to leave. Rich and Lars bonded so well during our visit - they spent a lot of time together watching football, smoking cigars and enjoying Rich's cooking.
