Babysitting Time

After MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) at our church Kat often stops in for the afternoon. She ran some errands while I got to play with the kids.

Where's Winter???

I drove home from my cousin's funeral with snow flurries flying around me. We have had a crazy winter. It has been more like a prolonged spring from October until now. We could still get some snow in March, but it is very unlikely. The last little snow fall we did have was the day after the funeral. It was quite pretty. This is the new Crepe Myrtle tree my sons-in-law planted for me when I retired.

Mitchell family support time

My cousin Ray Mitchell died suddenly in February at age 64. I was able to drive to DuBois, PA, to attend the funeral and spend time with the Mitchell family. My oldest cousin Jane and her husband Dick were there, my cousin Lloyd and his wife Beverly, my brother Chuck and his wife Anita, and all of Ray’s family along with his brother Clarence and sisters Janice and Nancy. Nancy’s daughter-in-law Gina came from Maryland where she is a Colonel in the US Air Force. The Mitchell family has always been a relatively close knit bunch, and very supportive during family celebrations and times of grief. It was good to be together again.

Spent the day with Abby and Daniel on Tuesday. Abby loves to talk and coo - and Daniel played peek-a-boo behind the chair. What fun times!

Sunday with Abigail

Abby and Daniel (and their parents) came for a visit Sunday afternoon. Abigail is now 12 weeks old and has quite an adorable personality.
